“Pre-Fabulous” imagines the assistance of insect and animal species in the acquisition of desirable housing for humans. 2006

 

In a series of images meant both for street posting and more sanctioned walls, “Pre-Fabulous” fixates on the glory and folly of contemporary designer-made pre-fabricated homes. Promoted as affordable solutions for style-minded clients, the houses look fantastic, but remain unreachable for most. Ants, dragonflies and dung beetles are employed for their skills, or perhaps they are volunteers, helping to bring and build a pre-fab house just for me, and maybe you too.
